 Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to do an average job?
  • Depending on the weather, most jobs take one to one and a half days to do the actual work. Weather is the most important factor contributing to the length of the job. We sometimes may have to come back to finish the job, if we think there is rain coming or the moisture content is too high.

On the other hand, it can sometimes get too hot. This affects the curing of the cement and may extend the job a little bit.

  • We can complete between 150 to 200 feet of decorative curbing per day
Why onsite quotes?
Onsite quotes are the best approach because we can:
  • showcase styles and colours
  • give better recommendations
  • have a better understanding of customer's needs

  • the decorative curb is made of a continuous line of concrete. It is NOT individual bricks or pieces of concrete.

How does the curb compare in cost to Allenblocks?
  • Allen block bought piece by piece may be cheaper per foot. However, the labour aand associated materials, including the top cap will add up to a much greater cost per foot.
  • If you install Allen block, there is no labour cost on your part but will probably take five or six times longer
  • Allen blocks advantage is in in it's height. Our curb is a maximum of 7" high.
What work prep does a customer have to do?
  • In most cases the only prep we ask for is for plants to be trimmed back and for you to have a solid idea of what colour and style you want.
What can I do to care for the curb after installation? What about cracking?
